Biblical Counseling, Mentoring and Training by Jim Stevanus, M.Div., Th.M.

Greetings!

Jim Stevanus brings over thirty years of pastoral experience, founded on a lifelong dedication to the study of God’s word and weekly in-depth expository (verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter) preaching and teaching. In tandem with his years of teaching, Jim’s commitment to and confidence in God’s word has guided his ministry of shepherding many individuals and couples, in a vast array of circumstances and stages in their walk with Christ, in the counseling setting.

The counseling resources Jim now shares are the outgrowth of his work to provide biblically sound and actionable steps that direct counselees to true and lasting, heart-level change.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University, as well as the MDiv and ThM degrees from Baptist Bible Seminary of Pennsylvania. God has used Jim to minister help and encouragement to many individuals locally and regionally throughout his ministry in Indiana and Central Ohio.

He has had the privilege to establish and host the Columbus Biblical Counseling Conference since 2012, hosting national Biblical Counseling keynote speakers such as Dr. Stuart Scott, Deepak Reju, Dr. Kevin Carson, Dr. Garrett Higbee, and others.

Jim continues to actively counsel, mentor and train others in the Certification process for the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, and to develop and share resources to support counselors in the process of leading others to change and grow. He is based in Central Ohio, partnering with Delaware Bible Church (www.delawarebible.org) and Agape Christian Church (www.agape.cc)

Jim is married to Jacquie, a music educator and writer. Jim enjoys undertaking and completing projects to beautify their home. Together they enjoy the ministry of hospitality. They have four amazing adult children and three beautiful grandchildren, with whom they cherish spending time reading and playing.
