Thanks for stopping by Counsel That Connects. It is my sincere hope that this blog will provide ongoing encouragement in your journey, no matter what challenges you may face this day. I believe God’s word is the best source of guidance, that it is completely reliable, because God is the author, and his word was written to you and me. In this Blog, each post provides some practical insights from the Old Testament Book of Proverbs. I invite you to rest awhile here and meditate on these thoughts, and see if you don’t agree that these nuggets of wisdom are greatly applicable to our lives today!

“The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel” (1:1).
If you’re on a relay team, successfully passing the baton to the next runner is essential. Likewise, if you want to be a winning basketball team, passing the ball to the open player is helpful. King David is one of the most recognized characters in the Old Testament. He must have had quite an effective influence on his son, Solomon, since this son was called the wisest man of his time, and he wrote volumes of wise sayings, which have been compiled the Book of Proverbs. Just as David passed the baton to his son Solomon, we can consider the impact we are having on others. How will you be remembered? What legacy will you write and what heritage will you pass on to the ones who come behind you? Your life really does matter! May it count for eternity!
